Soft mist through a quiet stand of trees

Group counseling

Nobody carries it by themselves

Groups of three to five people who are in a similar season of life, with one counselor. We share experience, scripture, and guidance from a biblical perspective.

Anxiety

Moms and Coffee

For the anxiety that comes with being a mom.

In group therapy we learn together how to lean on scripture and prayer when it feels as though our fears have taken over the mind. We work through a daily devotional with guided questions, and there are guided journal activities, prayers, and bible verses to meditate on during the week.

It is a small room of women in the same season, which is the point. Much of the weight of motherhood comes from carrying it quietly and assuming everyone else is coping better.

  • A daily devotional worked through together
  • Guided questions and journal activities
  • Prayer, and verses to sit with during the week
  • Three to five moms, one counselor

Grief

Comfort in the darkness

A grief group, so that grief is not something you sit with alone.

Grief groups help you feel less alone in your grief. We learn how to heal from loss together. Every loss is different, but bonding with others during group sessions helps you find support while you are healing.

We cover similar ground to individual sessions, with the addition of learning to comfort one another on a grief journey none of us asked for. Psalm 23 Counseling offers bible verses to comfort you, the tools you need to heal from the scars, and journal activities for sessions and for home.

Together we can heal from our scars and find comfort in the darkness. You do not have to do it alone.

College and Career Aimed at high school students

Deciding what comes next

For students staring down the question of what to do with their life.

Seeking the right path to take when choosing how to use your talents in a career can be a daunting task. You do not have to decide alone. In group college and career guidance we support each other in choosing a path.

The topics we cover are finding your spiritual talents, the roadblocks that get in the way, and setting small checkpoints on the way to the main goal. Sessions include journal activities, bible verses, guided questions, and prayer.

  • Finding the talents God has actually given you
  • Naming the roadblocks, including the ones in your own head
  • Small checkpoints instead of one overwhelming decision
  • Encouragement from people the same age, in the same spot
