Evaluating your life

At one point in my life, I was too heavily focused on my career that the other areas in my life began to falter. I sat down and began to look at the important areas of life. In my research, I came across what I call the -als of life. Meaning our Physical, Mental, Emotional, Financial, and Spiritual well-being. I wrote down some questions to evaluate these areas of my life. So if you need help balancing all the areas of your life, these questions will help you.

Physical well-being:

1. How do I treat my body?

2. Do I treat it like a temple?

3. Diet- What am I feeding my body?

4. Activity- What do I do with my body?

Mental well-being:

1. What thoughts am I letting live rent-free in my head?

2. How do I rest my mind?

3. How do I utilize my mind?

4. How do I expand/challenge my mind?

Emotional well-being:

1. Do I understand my emotions/Can I name my emotions?

2. Who do I let affect my emotions?

3. Who is connected to my emotions?

2. How am I saving my money?

3. Am I making responsible choices with my money?

2. Where/what do I turn to anchor me during a storm?

The more I utilized these questions I was able to easily identify what areas need more attention. In my journey, I have found that my spiritual well-being affects all areas of my life. If I am stumbling in my spiritual life than other areas start to crumble. I challenge you to start using these questions to evaluate your life.
